Guest scores on Booking.com and Airbnb decide how often your property appears in search and how many people book it. The Booking.com NFC card and the Airbnb NFC card help you stay in front of guests. But these platforms work differently from Google, so use them the right way.
How these platforms handle reviews
Both platforms only accept reviews from guests who actually booked and stayed through them. Booking.com sends guests a review request after the stay. On Airbnb, guests and hosts review each other through the app after checkout. You cannot collect a review from a walk-in guest on the spot.
So what is the card for?
What the cards do
The cards open your property page or listing when a guest taps. Use them to:
- Remind guests to look for the review request that will reach them after the stay. A line such as “We would love your feedback. You will get a message from Airbnb after checkout” helps.
- Let guests find you again for a repeat booking, or share your listing with friends and family.
- Send guests directly to your listing without them searching, which matters if your property name is common.
Where to put them
- In the room, next to the welcome note, the house rules or the Wi-Fi details.
- At reception or the check-in desk.
- On the fridge or near the front door in holiday homes.
- In the welcome pack for longer stays.
Do not break the rules
Both platforms forbid offering rewards for good reviews and forbid pressuring guests. Ask politely, be honest about the service, and never ask guests to leave a five-star rating only.
Get direct reviews on Google too
Walk-in and local guests can review you on Google right away. Add a Google review card or a review plate at reception. Our Tripadvisor card guide covers hotels and restaurants.
Which link to send us
For Booking.com, send your property page link. For Airbnb, send your listing link. We will test both on a phone before dispatch.
Common questions
Can a guest review me straight from the card?
Not on the spot. Both platforms only accept reviews from guests who booked and stayed through them, so the card opens your property or listing page and the guest reviews later through the platform’s own request.
Do I need both cards?
Only if you list on both platforms. Many hosts start with the platform that brings most of their bookings and add the second later.
Can I put the card in the room?
Yes. Next to the welcome note or house rules works well, since guests read those on arrival.
