After a good conversation at a conference, someone says, “Let’s connect on LinkedIn”, and then the awkward part starts: spelling your name, finding the right profile among five people with the same name. A LinkedIn NFC card skips all of it.
How it works
The card holds your LinkedIn profile link. The other person taps their phone on the card and your profile opens, with the Connect button one tap away. It works on iPhone and Android and does not need an app on your side.
Personal profile or company page?
Each card holds one link, so choose based on who will use it:
- Personal profile: best for job seekers, consultants, freelancers and salespeople.
- Company page: best for a brand stand or a business with no single contact person.
Teams usually order one card per employee, each with that person’s own profile.
Where to use it
- Networking events and conferences.
- Job fairs and campus drives, for students and recruiters.
- Client meetings, handed over instead of a paper business card.
- Speaking engagements, at the end of a talk.
- Sales visits, so prospects can find you later.
Make your profile ready first
A card sends people to your profile, so check it before you hand it out:
- a clear, professional photo,
- a headline that says what you do and for whom,
- a short summary in plain language,
- your current role and a few results,
- a custom profile URL such as linkedin.com/in/yourname.
Custom URL tip
If your link is long and full of numbers, shorten it in your LinkedIn settings. A clean link is easier to check and remember, even though the card carries it for you.
Combine with WhatsApp
Business in Pakistan often moves to WhatsApp after the first meeting. A WhatsApp card alongside a LinkedIn card lets contacts choose. Or use the all-in-one card to show both, plus your website.
Order for a team
Companies can order a card for every employee. Cards are sold wholesale with a minimum order of 100 pieces of the same card: see wholesale pricing.
Common questions
Do people need the LinkedIn app?
No. If they have it, your profile opens there; if not, it opens in their browser, though connecting needs a LinkedIn account.
Can I update my profile after ordering cards?
Yes. The card opens your profile link, so any changes to your photo, headline or experience show up automatically.
Should I still carry paper business cards?
Many people carry both. The NFC card covers LinkedIn, and a paper card covers people who do not use their phone at meetings.
